Is anxiety and worry getting in the way of your child’s learning? In this talk I will present an overview of the neurobiological mechanisms of anxiety and worry; a model for understanding how these mechanisms impact the brain’s availability for both learning and interpersonal connections; and a set of practical skills for managing worry that fosters self-regulation, an increased capacity for learning, and improved interpersonal relationships.
